Written by Wayne Kramer”

  • Director: Wayne Kramer
  • Release Date:
    26 February 2009 (Bahrain)
  • Run Time:
    113 min | USA:140 min (original version)
  • Country: USA
  • Genre: Drama See »
  • MPAA:
Rated R for pervasive language, some strong violence and sexuality/nudity.

Tagline: Every day thousands of people illegally cross our borders… only one thing stands in their way. America.

Trivia: When the immigration officers are interrogating Claire Shepard (Alice Eve), there is a brief mention to IMDb. In order to get an American green-card, Australian Claire affirms she’s a famous TV star in her origin country; therefore, she could get a visa for outstanding accomplishment and become an American citizen. However, the agents later tell her they’ve searched her career profile and, “according to The Internet Movie Database, the only Claire Shepard that matches her spelling, age and place of birth has two credits on little known Aussie TV shows.”See  »

Goofs: Factual errors: In Gavin’s interview scene, the immigration officer relies on the Rabbi’s opinion. The garb and the accent of the Rabbi suggest he is a European Orthodox (probably Lubavich), yet in the end he gives Gavin a card, saying he should come to Temple Bet Sholom. “Temple Bet Sholom” is typically a name for splinter Reform congregations, whose rabbis are mostly American- or Canadian-born (therefore no accent), and wear contemporary clothes.See  »
